New admissions are made only to Nursery and Class XI. Other admissions, if any, will depend on the availability of seats and on the competence of the student.

Application Forms of Nursery, duly filled in, are to be submitted online. Partially or wrongly filled-in Application Forms will be rejected. The meeting of the parents with the ward for the Nursery Admission will be held on specified days. Kindly come on time with the required documents.

The result of the Nursery Admission will be declared on the school website: dbsjorhat.org on the day and time announced after the interaction. Those who fail to take admission within the specified dates will forfeit the seat. Textbook and other things will be made available in March.

Admission to KG to Class VIII will be on the basis of the availability of seats. However, no new admission are taken to classes IX, X, and XII. The application Forms are available in the Clerk’s Office after 15 March in case of vacancy. The Application Forms of KG to Class VIII, duly filled in, should be submitted to the office. The Entrance Examination for the new admission and the interview of the candidate and the parents will be held later. The entrance examination will be on Mathematics, Science and English of the class the candidate has been successful last. The result of the entrance examination and the interview will be posted on the website of the school. For further information, kindly log on to the school website or look at the school notice board.

Minimum Requirements for Nursery Admission

The age of the child should not be less than 3.5 years and not more than 4.5 years. The candidate will have to recognize and name ordinary objects used in daily life like flowers, fruits, parts of the body, and colours. There will be a meeting of the parents along with the child after that.

Admission Procedure

Admission forms are available only at the school office. It is the responsibility of the parents to enter the correct name and the date of birth of their child in the admission form. It will not be permitted later to make any alteration either in the name or in the date of birth at the time of SEBA examination on the plea that a mistake had been made at the time of Nursery Admission/Admission or any other classes.

An Age Certificate from the Church, Municipality or Government Birth Certificate or the Hospital where the child was born must be brought. Date of birth and name once entered in the school record cannot be subsequently changed under any circumstance.

The following documents have to be brought at the time of interaction

1. The Original Birth Certificate to verify the attested birth certificate submitted eatlier.

2. Caste/Tribe certificate (in case of candidates belonging to sheduled caste/tribe)

3. The Mark sheet of the last Annual Examination taken. (Not applicable to those who have not gone to school at all).

The following documents have to be submitted to the office at the time of admission

1. Original Mark Sheet of the last Annual Examination taken.

2. Attested photocopy of the Birth Certificate.

3. Original Transfer Certificate of the institution last attended (Countersigned by the Inspector of Schools, if the candidate comes from outside Jorhat District).

4. Three recent passport size photographs of the candidate.

5. Original Conduct Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended.

6. Duly filled Admission Form.

BEWARE OF THIRD PARTIES MAKING FALSE CLAIMS OF HAVING CLOSE CONTACT WITH THE SCHOOL AUTHORITIES OR COLLECTING MONEY ON BEHALF OF THE SCHOOL. MANY ARE CHEATED EVERY YEAR. SO PLEASE TAKE CARE.
